Premise

Marty is an amateur comic book artist who sees the world in a unique way. His friend and love interest, Sally, is a gadget inventor who lives in a very strict household and is abused by her adoptive parents. The story follows Marty and the trials he has to face in order to save Sally from her abusive household.

Saving Sally's visuals are a mix of live-action and animation. The animated parts are designed to be Marty’s perspective of the world. The film also won the Children’s Choice Award in the 2016 Metro Manila Film Festival, and the Gawad Urian Award for Best Production Design in 2017. Additionally, Saving Sally was also a nominee for Best Animated Feature in the Asia Pacific Awards, and the FAP Awards in 2017.

Saving Sally took 10 years to make, and underwent different changes and revisions during its making. Various videos of behind-the-scenes content and conceptualization can be watched on RocketSheep Studio’s Youtube channel.
