Premise
Eric is an animator, who literally has no mouth. He is told by his mother to visit his uncle, but he is instead met with an unexpected twist. His intention to meet his uncle leads him to be greeted with a familiar alien, with the intent of taking Eric.

Iti Mapukpukaw is the first Philippine animated film to have Filipino and Ilocano as its language. Moreover, it also utilizes both 2D animation and Rotoscoping techniques in telling the story. Aside from this, Iti Mapukpukaw also portrays queer themes, with the protagonist Eric showing romantic interest in his co-worker Carlos. The film also won Best Film in the 2023 Cinemalaya Philippine Independent Film Festival. Additionally, the film was also an entry for the 96th Academy Awards in the Best International Film category
