Premise

Based on the legend of the warrior princess Urduja of Pangasinan, this animated film tells her tale during the 13th century. Given her father's age and declining health, Urduja is to find a man to marry in order to continue his legacy and eventually lead their tribe. The film also explores Urduja questioning her purpose during her journey.

The movie's titular protagonist is based on the myth of Urduja, a story that is often mistaken to be a real historical event. Urduja has also won the Star Award for Cinematic Excellence in Filipino Animation, and the Golden Screen Award for Best Motion Picture (Animation) and Best Original Song in 2009.

Where to Watch?

Although it is currently unknown if Urudja had any other official releases other than its theatrical showing, like a DVD or Blu-Ray release, a Youtube upload from 2009 shows that the film has been broadcasted on GMA Network at one point.
