Premise
11-year-old Nico is a young boy living a simple life in a small town. In the virtual world of the MMORPG game titled "Metanoia," Nico's skills are unmatched when playing as his avatar, Zero. However, it's gotten to the point where he's addicted, staying up late at night and not branching out to other activities. It is not until he is encouraged by his mom and friends that he starts making the most out of his summer playing outdoor games. Meanwhile, a special item from Metanoia starts to spread a virus among its players.

RPG Metanoia is the Philippines' first (and so far, to be the only) CGI-animated film. A subtle detail in the film is the change in the frame rate. Whenever scenes are happening inside the game, the frame rate becomes slower to imitate lag. On the other hand, the frame rate is smoother and faster when scenes take place in the real world. RPG Metanoia is the winner in Best Sound Recording, Best Musical Score, and Best Theme song in the 2010 Metro Manila Film Festival. Additionally the film has also won the Golden Screen Award for Best Visual Effects, the FAP Award for Best Sound, and was a nominee for Best Animated Feature Film for the Asia Pacific Screen Awards in 2011.

The movie was released on DVD, and is also available on iWantTFC. On December 21, 2025, the full movie was made available on Youtube on the official ABS-CBN Star Cinema channel. It should be noted that a few songs featured in the movie were replaced with non-copyrighted music. Additionally, the end credits were omitted. The ABS CBN Star Cinema Youtube channel have also uploaded various promotional content of the movie before its cinematic release.
